Title: Choose to Build up
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29
How can we build someone up? Think about what brings a person down: harsh criticism, negative comments, and discouraging words. To lift someone up, we use encouraging words, helpful actions, and supportive or caring speech. We also pay attention to the moment.
Building a house takes many parts, like lumber, bricks, wiring, plumbing, and paint. Each one matters. In the same way, our words can help someone grow when we offer the right support at the right time.
Every day, we can show kindness to others by choosing encouraging words at the right moment. For men, this is not just something we can do—it is a responsibility we all share.
