Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a
We all value authentic people. I don’t think many of us would choose inauthentic people! We get a vibe from inauthentic people; they seem to lack something or are trying too hard. Now, add the unwholesome talk to an inauthentic person, and things can get interesting.
I have been in conversations where someone might cuss or make an off-color remark that seems out of place, like they are trying to be someone they are not or trying to fit in.
Choose words based on authenticity that build, not words that tear apart. Choose the way to use words that build, not tear down.
Real men live authentic lives.
