Why is authenticity so hard to find today? It’s a pride thing, and because of our pride, we don’t want to show our weaknesses or shortcomings to others. We like to appear as perfect as we can to others, and we protect that image as much as we can. We can hold ourselves in bondage.
The fact that Jesus knows our imperfections and we can’t hide them should encourage us to be real. If we can’t hide from Him, why should we hide from others?
Every day, when we leave our homes, can we look in the mirror and say this is the real me? I am genuine and authentic in all I do.
Real Men are authentic in all things.
