Title: People Keep It Hidden
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Heb 3:13a
Most of the people you come into contact with daily are dealing with some level of discouragement. Discouragement often feels like a weakness, so people tend to keep it hidden. However, we could all use daily encouragement.
Some of us need a smile or a side hug. Others require a bit more. Let’s help with a project, such as finishing a deck or installing a sprinkler system. Here are a few other ideas. Giving a listening ear, showing an interest in someone else’s hobby, treating a friend to lunch, asking him how his family is doing, and then paying attention. And still, some guys need a swift kick in the pants! Now that’s encouragement!
Who will you see today that might need a bit of encouragement? Consider a specific person and devise a particular plan. Who is it? What will you do?
