Title: Golden Apple

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today. – Hebrews 3:13a

I have to catch myself when I encourage others. I hear myself using the word “but” right after an encouraging word, meaning it is or was good, but it could be better. The word “but” can undermine any sense of encouragement you are trying to provide. Trust me, I know I have seen the facial expression and its impact.

One way to help with this is to remember Solomon’s wise words. In Proverbs 25:11,  ” Saying the right thing at the right time is like a golden apple in a silver setting.”  So, looking for the right time and the right thing is much better than trying to encourage with a fix in mind.

Real Men: Give out golden apples.
