Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Hebrews 3:13a
Are you actively encouraging one another? Did you notice that this verse was not a suggestion but a command? Think of a day when you could have used some encouraging words. I can only speak for myself when I say I have a hard time being encouraging. That all changed when my kids went off to college and would call home, doubting they could get through the semester. My dad’s heart drove me to encourage them more than I did when they were little. The only way I can explain this is that I didn’t want them to fail because I knew they had it in them to succeed. In the same way, we are to be on the lookout for those having a hard time and speak into their lives. Guys are intentional, intense, and generous with encouraging others, even if it’s difficult for you.
Real Men are encouragers.
