Title: The Gift of Encouragement

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Hebrews 3:13a

Encouragement is a gift of a unique ability to inspire others to reach their full potential. As Husbands, Parents, and Christian Men, we must do so by challenging, comforting, and guiding in a way that people are motivated. Great ways to show encouragement are speaking to others, perhaps an uplifting note, providing assistance, praying with someone, and sometimes a word of discipline. Christian men must use this gift for others to grow spiritually. Encouragement requires us to walk the walk. We cannot encourage others without living a faith-disciplined life ourselves.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
