Saturday // Build :: Invest

Title: Wholehearted.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters- Colossians 3:23

I often relate this passage to our jobs/work…which I think is fine…but it applies to so much more than that. The word “Whatever” covers all aspects of our lives. Do we approach everything we do as if the Lord were asking us to do it with our entire heart? This means the stuff God has called us to do outside our comfort zone.

We often gravitate to easy things that will get noticed and praised. This feels good, right? We like the pat on the back and the recognition. Just remember, there is messy stuff, as well. The stuff that gets no credit or a pat on the back. This is where I trip up and think, Is this worth the investment? But the verse does not give that option; it says, in ALL things, we need to do it wholeheartedly for God, not for man.

Is God calling you to go all-in? Today is the day you say yes and invest in Him wholeheartedly. And remember, it’s all for Him.

Real Men: Invest wholeheartedly in what they are doing for the Lord.
