Saturday // Build :: Kingdom

Title: The big windshield

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33

You might have heard the saying, “The windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror.”

To seek God’s kingdom, we need to look ahead through the wide windshield, focusing on what is in front of us and what God has planned. He promises heavenly treasure, rest in His care, and the fulfillment of His highest purpose for us: fellowship with Him and being part of His kingdom.

The rearview mirror is useful because it lets us see where we came from and what we have learned. But we shouldn’t keep our attention there. Satan tries to make us focus on our past mistakes, but if we do, we miss out on the grace and peace God offers. Our past is forgiven, and our sins are forgotten, so don’t spend too much time looking back. Instead, look forward and seek God’s kingdom.

Real Men look out the front windshield.
