Title: Live in the Kingdom
But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well – Matthew 3:13a
I used to think the kingdom of God was where He resided, way above the earth, and I was working to get there. But His kingdom is a present reality; it involves the spiritual realm and the whole world. It encompasses God’s sovereign rule over His creation, both as a present reality through the lives of believers and the Church, and as a future reality, Christ’s return. Believers are called to participate in this kingdom by submitting to Christ’s rule, living according to God’s teachings, and spreading the “good news” of the kingdom to others.
Therefore, we are to be ambassadors and share the message of the Gospel with others. We are also to live a certain way, life centered on loving each other and acknowledging that God rules our physical kingdoms.
