Title: High stakes
Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven – Matthew 10:32
This isn’t the acknowledgment we do when we pass each other or a head nod or a “what’s up?” (If you have time, check out the whole chapter) Jesus is sending his disciples out to the towns to proclaim the “kingdom of heaven.” Not only to speak about it but to perform miracles in His name.
When we go out into the world and acknowledge and proclaim His name, there is risk and opposition by Satan and by others. In some parts of the world, today Christians are arrested, separated from family, and persecuted. Those are some of the sacrifices we make when we are acknowledging Him, not just in words but also in actions. The good news is, He will acknowledge us before God.
Real men acknowledge without fear
