Title: Be Ready!
“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10:32
Have you ever walked up to a stranger and asked, “Can I take a moment of your time to tell you about Jesus?” I have, and it’s a bit awkward. People respond in different ways. Some will turn around and walk away. Others will politely refuse. And still, for whatever reason, sometimes you get a yes. And then you actually have to say something!
I’m guessing that we aren’t going to go out to a park tomorrow and start talking with strangers about Jesus. But what about people we know? What about those moments that we let slip by because we didn’t know what to say? Here’s a challenge for you: Come up with two quick sentences on Jesus. Use it as your “go-to” statement when an opportunity presents itself.
If you can’t think of anything, use this one: Jesus is fascinating! I’m astonished at his Love for people; His friendship is more than I could ever comprehend.
Be ready! You never know when you will have the chance to talk with someone about Jesus.
