Title: Stand your ground
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Wishy-washy…we all know what it looks like. Someone who doesn’t commit to what they believe or think. They are not sure about what they believe or where they are at. I respect people so much more who take a stand on an issue and stand firm. I may not always agree with their stance, but I respect them for taking a stand.
I think it would have been fascinating to watch Jesus go through the temple, turning over tables and taking a stand on selling goods in God’s house. His stance came at an expense because it went against the status quo of the day. I imagine many respected him for taking a stand.
Where are you not standing firm? Where can you continue to be strong? Be firm, stand your ground, be confident in standing tall, and not be moved by what you believe and who you are.
Real men take a stand.
