Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
In the book of Nehemiah, the Israelites rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 3 describes who was to rebuild each part of the wall and gates. As it turns out, Nehemiah assigned them the section of the wall closest to where they lived. It created a level of craftsmanship that is only achieved when you know it will cost you considerably if it is not PERFECT. “Give yourself fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor will not be in vain.”
