Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. – Matthew 10:32
I don’t know about you, but I have missed many opportunities to acknowledge Christ. Have you had those moments when you were nudged to share your faith? I know I have, and many times, I don’t. In my head, I come up with reasons why I shouldn’t: It’s not the right time, it’s not the right place, I don’t know what to say, to name a few weak excuses.
We are not alone. Peter denied Jesus three times. So what keeps us from opening our mouths and hearts to share Jesus? For Peter, it was fear for his life; for me, it is being rejected, but I need to get over that and step out in faith, allow myself to believe that God has set up the opportunity to acknowledge Him and understand that once I do, God will take it from there.
Real Men Don’t shy away from acknowledging God.
