Title: Stand your ground
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Wishy-washy…we all know what it looks like. Someone who doesn’t commit to what they believe or think. They are unsure about what they believe or where they stand. I respect people who take a stand on an issue and stand firm even more. I may not always agree with their stance, but I respect them for taking a stand.
I think it would have been fascinating to watch Jesus go through the temple, turning over tables and taking a stand on selling goods in God’s house. His stance came at a cost because it went against the prevailing status quo of the day. I imagine many respected him for taking a stand.
Where are you not standing firm? Where can you continue to be strong? Be firm, stand your ground, be confident in standing tall, and do not be moved by what you believe and who you are.
Real men take a stand.
