Title: Respond
Offer your bodies as the living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship – Romans 12:1b
First, note that worship is a verb or an action word; it’s something you do. Worship is a response to God. God initiated the relationship, and we are to respond.
We learn a lot about God in the Bible, in books, in sermons, etc… but here we are talking about what we do in response.
In a broad sense, everything we do can and should be considered worship if our life or action is in line with God’s desires. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Everything we do that honors God is worship. Being a man of character, loving your neighbor, and providing for your family; all of these things are worship when you respond to what’s in front of you, in a Godly manner.
