Title: Advance the Gospel
Sunday: Sacrifice – Worship – offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1b
It’s the bottom of the ninth; score is tied; one out. There’s a man on second and you’re up. You hit the most perfect bunt of your career and race down to first base only to be thrown out. But you advance the runner to third.
The next guy comes up, hits a little hopper right over the second baseman’s head and drives in the winning run.
He gets an RBI, the runner gets a run scored and your team wins the game. And you? You go 0 for 0 because it was your only at bat during the game.
Life is like that sometimes. You make sacrifices to advance the gospel and it goes totally unnoticed.
But…
Real men make sacrifices anyway.
