It’s the bottom of the ninth. The score is tied, and there’s one out. There’s a man on second, and you’re up. You hit the perfect bunt of your career and race down to first base, only to be thrown out. But you advance the runner to third.
The next guy comes up, hits a little hopper right over the second baseman’s head, and drives in the winning run.
He gets an RBI, the runner receives a run scored, and your team wins the game. And you? You go 0 for 0 because it was your only at-bat during the game.
Life is like that sometimes. You make sacrifices to advance the gospel, and it goes unnoticed.
But…
