Title: The battle challenge

For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15c

A moment of honesty: I’m not a fighter. I do enjoy a well-contested boxing match or even a UFC fight. For me, however, when it comes to confrontation, I’d rather stay out of it, especially if it’s physical. I’ve never been hit in the face, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like it.

No matter how much I dislike them; battles come my way. They may not be fistfights, but they are battles. Confrontations at work, choosing sides on an issue at my kids’ school, or problems with extended family, the battles seem to be never-ending.

Can you relate?

As your battles are coming to mind, here’s a challenge for you: Give them up. Don’t get caught in the overwhelming details. Give them to God and trust him.

Real Men give their battles to God.
