In ancient times, soldiers had massive shields that they carried into battle for their protection, and they could even band together and interlock them for even greater protection.
The “shield of faith” is a critical defense weapon that we have to defend ourselves from Satan and his flaming arrows. Having faith in God and His word, we can quickly defeat Satan and shut down his lies and deception, but faith has to be more than just believing. We need to practice our faith daily; don’t let the lies become seeded in our hearts. Be confident that God has our backs.
When Satan tries his trickery, raise your shield of faith and believe in God and His promise that the battle is His and not ours.
