The next time you are facing an emergency, you need to know that the average time for police to respond is 10 minutes. That is a long time to wait for help when your life is on the line. The next time you are facing a spiritual emergency, what is the response time of your pastor or priest? I have no statistics, but it is probably longer than 10 minutes. The point is, when you are facing a temptation, you need to be equipped to immediately deal with that threat. God has provided armor, but you need to put it on because the enemy is looking for those who are ill prepared and ill equipped to take down. God’s armor isn’t going to help if it is home in the closet. It only works if you have put it on.
