Title: Am I ready

For the battle is not yours, but God’s – 2 Chronicles 20:15c

 

Isaiah 6:8 says, “Here I am, send me.” This verse means a lot to me—I even have it tattooed on my arm. I often say I’m ready for battle, but am I really? Who or what is my enemy? Is it false prophets, my own thoughts led astray, or the temptations I face every day? I have to ask myself if I’m choosing the right people and environment. The battle isn’t just happening far away; it’s right here in our homes, on our TVs and radios, and with people we meet at bars or restaurants. Men, it’s important to put on the armor of God every day to be ready for whatever comes our way.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
