Title: Take courage
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power – Ephesians 6:10
Courage is not the absence of fear but the act of acting when it’s present. Courage is the strength that comes from somewhere deeper than our feelings.
Ephesians 6:10 says to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
That matters because many men are trying to be strong in their own strength. Strong for their family. Strong at work. Strong in crisis. Strong when people need answers. Strong when they are exhausted.
But eventually, our strength runs out.
God never asked us to be warriors disconnected from Him. He calls us to stand, but not in our own power. He calls us to fight, but not with pride or ego. He calls us to lead, but not as men who pretend they are invincible. There is courage in facing the hard conversation. There is courage in telling the truth. There is courage in asking for help. There is courage in resisting temptation. There is courage in staying faithful when nobody applauds.
