Title: God is Calling
“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.” – Psalm 82:3
When we look closely at the verse above, the saying, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” comes to mind. God is speaking to those who have been given the responsibility to uphold justice but have not done so.
Most of us are not judges, officers, or political leaders, but we are all called to show God’s character when we see oppression, injustice, or exploitation.
We should remember that God does not accept injustice, just as we shouldn’t. We must not stand by and let it happen.
