Title: Struggle is a gift

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. – Ephesians 6:12

Don’t be discouraged when life is a struggle. In your battle, you have the greatest opportunity to be the man God has called you to be. The struggle is a gift.

The “macho man” gives the impression that nothing is a struggle. But this is a thin, shallow veneer, and when it cracks, you see these men rage, withdraw, neglect, and abuse those around them. And that’s when he loses the struggle he couldn’t admit to.

You will struggle. But what you are fighting against is rarely what seems immediately evident. It’s a struggle with spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. That perspective gives you the edge you need to experience victory through this struggle. And that’s why it is a gift. Because it gives you a “win.”

Real men struggle…and are victorious.
