Title: Prep Work
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Eph 6:10
When I get ready to go hunting, there is a great deal of prep work to do before the hunt. I need to gather my weapons, make sure they work properly, and have all the supplies I will need to make this trip a success without this prep work. I may as well try to talk the prey to death. Or maybe I can try to threaten it to death, or perhaps I can reason with it so that it will just fall over dead. Sounds crazy, huh? But that’s exactly what some guys try to do in spiritual warfare. They engage the enemy ill-prepared and get their heads handed to them, and then wonder what happened.
I’m not comparing the actual hunt with battle, only the prep work it takes to engage the quarry. In this case, our enemy is a powerful foe who will destroy you if you try to engage him without the necessary prep. So guys, make sure you prepare, pray up, gather your weapons, and engage the enemy fully prepared and surrounded by your brothers.
