Title: A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. – Ephesians 6:11
We know the scripture Ephesians 6:11, the weapons to arm ourselves with. Let’s talk about one of Satan’s ways of attacking. Matthew 7:15-29 provides more detail on what Jesus was explaining. Avoidance of a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Is their focus on internal motives or on external appearances? Are they guided by integrity or self-gain? Is there strength through prayer? Matthew continues by saying that Jesus focused on people who bear fruit and goes on to talk about judging others by the fruit they bear in their lives. Jesus continues to explain that good fruit bearers live a life of faith based on obedience; the person who represents a superficial faith that crumbles in the face of life’s trials is that wolf in sheep’s clothing.
