Ever fret over the economy? Worry about godlessness in the nation? Wonder how God can allow evil and oppression to continue?
Even if you haven’t yet, if the Bible’s teachings on the end times continue to play out in your lifetime, you may well soon. Nations will war. Evil will abound. False religions will flourish. Droves will starve.
Listen: We are called to light and salt the earth, not commandeer the providence of God. What is clearly communicated and demonstrated throughout biblical and world history, is that when it comes to things like politics, geography, sociology or spirituality, God’s pretty much got it under control.
What has you fretting today? Where do you find yourself pointing on the map, or in the news, reminding God He’d better do something quick? When do you act as if God needed your help to do His job?
Be still.
Real men know God is in control.
