Title: Rest
He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. – Psalm 46:10a
To actively listen, we have to stop talking, and usually stop what we are doing. God tells us to “be still” because he knows that’s often not our tendency. God tells us through the writer of Hebrews that there “remains a Sabbath-rest for the people of God” because prioritizing rest is typically not one of our strengths. Set aside sometime this week to be still and listen. Trust the Lord, who saves you to speak into your life and confirm what you hear with his word.
