Title: Purposely Focus
Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth. – Psalm 46:10
The art of listening is one of the most challenging things to do. I catch myself looking at people speaking, but my mind is not focused on them or what they are saying. I am either coming up with a fix or a solution, even before they’ve finished talking.
And I do this with God as well. He speaks, and my mind is somewhere else or on myself. I try and fix my problems without His help. I think I have a better and easier way of doing things. The verse says, “Be still,” which means we need to slow down and purposely focus on what God is telling us. He wants to help.
Real Men are Slow to Speak and Quick to Listen.
