Prayer is straightforward; it is a conversation with God. I tend to overcomplicate things and craft this elaborate prayer of all the things I think God wants to hear, with a list of needs and wants attached to it. The truth is, He knows what is REALLY going on. Like that friend who says to you, “NO, how are you REALLY, because you don’t look “fine”! “. So, in all reality, I should be honest with myself and tell him what is really on my mind; he knows it all anyway. After these conversations with God, I realize I can always talk to Him!! It doesn’t matter what is going on in my life. There will always be something REAL I can speak to him about.
