Title: Look Like Jesus
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh – Galatians 5:16
What does walking in the Spirit look like?
The first thing is that we have the Holy Spirit living in us. The next part is allowing the Holy Spirit to influence us. Third, we listen to and obey the influence of the Holy Spirit and live our lives accordingly. Doing these three things guides us in the path and nature of Jesus.
As we all know, this isn’t always easy because there is a continuing battle between the Spirit and the flesh. The two are opposed to each other.
To win this battle, we need to know what the sins of the flesh are. Paul gives us a very specific list in Galatians 5:19-21. Take a look at the list this week, and if you struggle with anything on the list, reach out to a brother in Christ and talk about it. Establish a friendship that leads to an accountability partner. We are all in this battle together and not alone on an island.
