For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart – Hebrews 4:12
Think about the last time you cut yourself with a really sharp knife. At first you may not even know you’ve been cut but eventually, the pain would set in and force you to deal with was no doubt a deep and painful cut.
The point when the word comes alive in your walk may be painful to deal with, but God will be there to help bandage the wound. When you’re convicted by the word it begins to consume your every thought and action. This will fuel your desire to live out the will of the Creator.
Real men let the word fuel their lives.
