Title: Don’t Put on a Shelf
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
It seems the Bible has become marginalized, put on a shelf or a desk with all of the other books. If the Bible is on a shelf or in a desk drawer, it can’t have the power to influence us, guide us, or protect us. The Bible can only be active and alive if we open it up, use it, spend time with it, and listen to it. When we do that, the Bible will affect our hearts, homes, churches, and communities, so don’t risk marginalizing God’s word. Let it be alive and active with everything you do.
