For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
I love the conviction of the Lord. It is like cutting the rotten part out of a piece of fruit. You lose a little but still have a good portion of fruit. However, if you didn’t cut it out, not only would the whole piece of fruit be rotten, but it would spoil all the fruit it touched. When the word of God convicts you of a wrong attitude or behavior, you know it is the truth. Embrace it, consume it as fuel!
