Title: How loud is God?
He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. – Romans 12:1b
Every day, our minds are full of noise. Many people say things like, “I am drowning in my own thoughts,” when their brains feel crowded and chaotic. This mental noise can distract us from what really matters. It pulls our attention away from God. It can keep us from praying, worshipping, or even opening the Bible.
But God’s word can clear away that noise. You don’t have to limit your time with God to just prayer. Even listening to your favorite worship song or reading a favorite verse can help you focus on Him. In those moments, your mind feels cleaner, and the problems you thought were huge start to seem smaller. The noise in your head begins to quiet down.
Taking even a few minutes or hours to focus on God shows that His voice is stronger than anything else we face. He is louder than any negative thought. Frustration and anxiety come and go, but God can handle all your problems and more. So why take your focus off Him?
I know it’s not always easy. But try reading a verse or listening to a song. When you quiet your mind, everything else gets quieter too. It may not be easy, but it does bring more calm and peace.
