Title: Pray Aloud

Pray continually… – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Have you ever tried praying out loud, not just in a group or before a meal, but as Jesus did? We know what Jesus prayed in Gethsemane because his disciples heard Him pour out his heart to his Father. Praying out loud can help you stay focused and make your thoughts feel more real.

For me, praying out loud is difficult because I’m used to praying silently. But when I confess a sin out loud, it feels more real. Hearing my own voice admit I’ve done something wrong makes the sin seem more concrete. In the Bible, people often prayed out loud about their specific needs. Telling God about our problems is the first step toward hope. When we speak our troubles to God, we realize He is greater than anything we face. No matter how or when you pray, if you make room for God, He will reach your heart. God understands you’re tired, but He still wants to be part of your life.

Real Men – Take your troubles to the Lord today.
