Title: Make Time
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
High octane jet fuel. We aren’t talking about the cheap stuff. The Word of God fuels us like nothing else. It searches out the deepest parts of who we are and speaks the truth about God and us. But this fuel is not made for us to run full blast with no end in sight. Hebrews 4 reminds us that God created us to take a break. We were made to rest in God’s Word. That’s how we “fuel up.”
We can rest in the truth that we are loved, chosen, sacrificed for, and given a new life in Christ. Carve out a bit of time later today, and let those truths cut deep into your soul and spirit. What does it mean for you to be chosen by God? Loved? Take some time to rest in the answers to these questions.
