Title: Can you hear me?
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10a
Be still and know I am God is one of my favorite verses. I was talking
about this verse with my wife, and the conversation came down to a simple
question. She asked if I let my mind get so full of everyday things that I
could no longer hear God? Sadly, I had to answer, yes. My mind had
become so full of repairing the house, paying bills, and every other thing
that I hadn’t been focused on the voice of God. If you are in that
same place right now, don’t just read this and go back to whatever you
were doing. I encourage you to carve out time to sit and listen to
God. When I began to correct my error, I was able to bask in His presence.
My problems were still there, but knowing that God was present filled me
with a feeling of peace that I cannot describe.
