Title: Surrounded By Who?
Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character. – 1 Corinthians 15:33
I think every parent knows this scripture, how many times have we heard this growing up and how many times have we used it on our kids. That’s because the importance of surrounding ourselves with good friends is important. Our character can be influenced by others good or bad because our character is defined by what we think, what we feel and how we behave. These things can be influenced by others. Proverbs 13:20 gives sound council on this “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
Look at who you have surrounded yourself with. Are they helping and pushing you to pursue and strengthen your relationship with Christ or are they keeping you from your relationship with Christ? Great friends will challenge you to do the right thing. The wrong friends will lead you into the bad things.
