Commit your ways to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do this – Psalms 37:5

A message I heard teaches that we must remember to give our heart to Jesus before our tithe or time and emphasizes the priority of spiritual commitment. Scripture states that genuine faith and a relationship with Jesus should be the foundation for giving rather than focusing on outward actions such as tithing or volunteering.

Tithing and volunteering are imperative to our growth, but we must conclude that giving our heart to Jesus is foundational to authentic faith and a life of service. It emphasizes that true commitment to God precedes any outward expressions. Christian men ensure that actions fueled by a sincere love for Him demonstrate a desire to live according to His will. 

Real Men give their hearts first.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
