Title: Men of Example
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
Most of us probably don’t see ourselves as men, of example, but we can’t think that way. We are examples that are visible every day, whether we accept it or not.
I remember a sports news story that reports, “LeBron James lost in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in his career on Thursday.” It was also said he walks off the court without shaking the opponent’s hand. This was visible to a lot of people, including young minds. I am not here to bash LeBron or his talent, but I would question his understanding of being an example.
Like LeBron James, we are being looked at and looked up to. I pray every day to God to help me with my responsibility of being a good example. We have a lot more at stake than representing a sport or team.
Real Men Are responsible for being a good example.
