Title: Opposite of the world
Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. – Hebrews 12:1c
No one said it would be easy. The Christian life does not promise a pain-free life. It is definitely not an easy road. Since God’s ways are not our ways, much of what He wants us to do is the opposite of what the world believes and does.
As such, daily, we face all of the things everyone does, like sickness, suffering, infidelity, and death. But as Christians, we also face persecution, discouragement, and spiritual warfare. Jesus promised us that we would face these things. He also promised us that He would walk through them with us.
We are not alone. When you feel like giving up, when you feel like taking the easier road, when the darkness surrounding you seems thick and endless, pray and turn to Jesus to carry you through. There is no shame in seeking help or being dependent on someone else, especially when that someone is Jesus.
Real Men persevere with Jesus.
