Have you ever considered our responsibility to influence others? None of us lives in isolation, and our actions affect the people around us. This brings up an often-overlooked aspect of stewardship: stewardship of influence. We are accountable for how we affect others.
This reminds me of Jonah. When Jonah tried to run away from what God asked him to do, the ship he boarded ran into a terrible storm. The sailors realized Jonah was the cause of their trouble and asked who he was and what he had done. Jonah’s story shows that we are responsible for how our actions influence others.
