Title: Persevere for the ultimate reward.
Let us run with perseverance the race that has been marked out for us… – Hebrews 12:1c
We all have had to persevere with situations in our lives or have witnessed others do the same. When I break this scripture down, Hebrews teaches us to put aside our plans and sins, seek to understand God’s plans for us, and rebuild our lives, learning that everything we do should be built around God’s plan. Easier said than done when we face hardships.
Let’s look at some examples of perseverance in the face of hardship. The Old Testament includes the book of Job, a story about a good foreigner named Job who persevered through great trials. Its teachings focus on maintaining faith in tough times. JOB is the textbook of perseverance. When you think of what that really means, and the reward is eternal, not short-lived, why is it still so hard? Jesus says in the scripture it is not easy but will be rewarding.
Real Men must persevere for the ultimate reward.
