When I think of perseverance, Job is the first person who comes to mind. People often talk about “the patience of Job.” But Job was not always patient; he kept insisting on his own innocence. Only after God revealed Himself at the end of Job’s trials did Job stop defending himself and submit to God’s will and wisdom.
One of the hardest parts of facing trouble is choosing to walk by faith instead of relying on what we see. Faith is trusting God and His plans, even when we do not understand His reasons.
When you go through hard times, keep your focus on God and His purpose for your life. Trust that He has a plan for you.
