Title: Ultimate reward

Let us run with perseverance the race that has been marked out for us… – Hebrews 12:1c

Persevere, we have all had to do this in our lives, or have witnessed others do so, such as tackling a taxing project at work, facing a medical issue, or enduring some very long and grueling military training, like I did. For all the perseverance, the outcome was rewarding, most a short-lived reward, now a memory, or a plaque on the wall with medals for conversation.

What does the Bible say about the perseverance of faith? We find it in many of the scriptures, where God promises to inherit eternal life. When you think of what that really means and the reward is eternal, not short-lived, why is it still so hard? Jesus says in the scripture it is not easy but will be rewarding.

Real Men must persevere for the ultimate reward.

Bill Reilly

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
